This year I volunteered at the James Island’s East Coast Paddlesports & Outdoor Festival. This event provides great opportunities for experienced kayakers, kayak anglers, and newbies to the sport. Most of the major kayak manufacturers were represented at this year’s event. This show also provides the stage for new kayak companies to allow people to demo new kayak concepts.

Last month, we re-posted Kayaking Canuck’s photo of their two Viking Kayaks “Profish Reloads” and couldn’t believe the response it got from our US-based readers. Comments like “SLICK, I wish they were available in the States” and “That is a machine!! Where can I get one?” followed the release. We spoke with Viking Kayaks shortly after the post, and they told us they had yet to finalize anything in the US.

Feelfree kayaks "Lure" photos leaked

Leaked photos of Feelfree's newest kayak, the “Lure”, give you a closer look at the multiple position high-low seating option. The seat looks similar to the Wilderness Systems "Air Pro" seat, with an internal plastic frame and padding, and the added ability to raise and lower into four different positions.
