Jackson Kayak “Liska” Set For 2018 Release

The Cuda series of fishing kayaks have been a best seller for Jackson Kayaks and firm favorites amongst novice anglers looking for a great entry level kayak. However, if you are considering investing in a Cuda 12 kayak you might want to hold off for a few months.

Jackson Officially Announces The "Coosa HD"

Drew Gregory walked us through the prototype "Coosa HD" at Outdoor Retailer 2014. The well-rounded Coosa HD will give kayak fishermen a little more room and stability, especially when compared to the original "Coosa". See Jackson Kayaks' full press release below.

2014 River Bassin' Tournament Trail

It's back! Having participated in a previous River Bassin' Tournament Trail, it makes me very excited to hear that Drew and his team have revived this tournament trail. I look forward to hitting the rivers and creeks with many other YakAnglers this coming year to participate in this great tournament. Good work guys!

Jackson Kayak Big Rig Overview

As I drove down the dirt road I had no idea what lay ahead of me; I had never seen the lake we were fishing, and the kayak I was using was a brand-new release. When I turned the corner I saw the typical wrapping of a newly-shipped kayak sticking out of the bed of a pickup truck. What was in the wrapper was anything but typical though.

Sanity Day

I’ve been busy. Really busy, just like everyone else. It came to my attention recently that my son and I haven’t been out in our kayaks nearly enough this summer and I needed to schedule a Sanity Day on the Stones River. Mission: Get onto some fish together. Secondary Mission: To see my teenage son get at least one big goofy grin across his face.

Outdoor Retailer Open Air Demo 2013

After plane delays, bird strikes, lost bags, and missed connections, the YakAngler crew finally arrived in Salt Lake City Utah for Outdoor Retailer 2013. Already missing the first couple of hours of the open air demo they headed straight from the airport to Pineview Reservoir. A 50 minute drive through the beautiful hills and mountains of Utah they were greeted with free beer and paddleboards as far as the eye could see.

Border City Classic results

The weather held up for us, and the fish were biting on both sides of the border. The participation from the Americans doubled from last year and though they made it close, Bob Forster's last minute entry wasn't enough to catch the 59 7/8” total of the Canadian anglers, so the “Border City Classic Challenge Cup” stayed with on the Canadian side.

Salt Water, Friends, and Kayak Fishing

My best friend Corey Galloway and I hit the beaches of Alabama for our annual summertime salt assault. Our quest entails good food, good drink, good times, and maybe a fish or two. Inseparable in college, we now struggle to get together a few times each year with work, marriage, kids and life in general. These trips are never about numbers or trophies. These trips are about celebrating friendships, fishing, and experiences that only kayak fishing can bring.
