Ocean Kayaks continues to develop new and exciting entries into the kayak fishing arena. The new "Prowler Big Game II" offers a multi-position seat, equipment mounting options, and and other features designed with anglers in mind. With a max load of 550-600lbs, it will carry you, your fishing gear, and maybe the kitchen sink wherever you want to go!

Old Town, Maine (January 7, 2014) Ocean Kayak, a recognized leader in the kayak fishing community, today introduced its new Prowler Big Game II fishing kayak. The Big Game II features a host of advancements designed to deliver a superior on-water experience, including the new multi-position Element Seating System for all day comfort, accessory mounting plates that allow for easy customization and the improved Click Seal bow hatch which keeps gear secure and dry.

Designed for anglers looking for a high capacity fishing kayak that will easily carry all the necessary equipment, the Prowler Big Game II offers ample room and outstanding stability without sacrificing performance. Central to the Big Game II are six strategically placed mounting brackets that allow the user to outfit the boat based on their personal specifications without having to drill into the hull.

“A sporting kayak with an impressive array of benefits, the Prowler Big Game II is equally at home in fresh or salt water,” said Luke LaBree, marketing and communications manager for Ocean Kayak. “In developing the Big Game II we combined a hull optimized for stability and class-leading capacity with creature comforts like the Glide Track foot brace system, our proprietary Mod Pod center console and of course the progressive Element Seating System to deliver a best in class kayaking experience.”

Like its predecessor, the Prowler Big Game II features stern stringers designed to carry volume in the rear of the boat. This combined with the Element Seating System delivers stability, security and a seamless connection between the paddler and the kayak. The unique Mod Pod center hatch system provides easy access to fishing rods and is loaded with a myriad of mounting options for after-market accessories, while the Big Game II features a Transducer compatible scupper hole to make installing fish finders a snap.

A bow hatch with Click Seal cover and a large rear hatch with bungee will accommodate gear throughout the kayak, while additional conveniences include the easily adjustable Glide Track foot braces, paddle keepers and comfortable carrying handles. Whether a seasoned kayak angler looking for more capacity, an angling enthusiast looking for a dry ride or a novice who wants extra security and stability the Prowler Big Game II has something for everyone.

The Prowler Big Game II will be available in January 2014 through authorized Ocean Kayak dealers.

These look sharp. I had been looking into last year's model, but can't find them anywhere anymore. Obviously, the release of the 2014 Big Game Prowler II is why...
Looks like an interesting kayak!

Wish this had come out a few months ago. I am very happy with my Trident 13, but this Big Game II looks great!

Nice looking kayak. Been an OK owner for many, many years, and since they spoiled me all those years ago, i'm not sure i'll own another brand. 2 Thumbs up!
