Kayak Fishing Ultimate Resource

Some days everything just comes together - the weather is perfect, you pick the right fly, and you find the right spot. This was one of those days. After an evening of tying flies, I woke up and loaded my Bull Bay Rods 8wt “Excel” series fly rod, with my Waterworks Lamson fly reel, loaded it into my Native “Ultimate 12” kayak and off I went.

How To: Standing and Kayak Fishing

I’ve wanted to write an article on the topic of standing and fishing while kayak fishing for some time now.  I talk to so many people that either struggle with this task or have just never tried.

XPLORE Adventure Series

I was attending at the 2010 SEMA Show the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world and as I was walking around this vehicle caught my eye.  As I drew nearer, I realized that the display had a kayak fishing setup.  Go figure that at one of the largest specialty car shows I see a Native Ultimate fishing package atop a FJ Cruiser with fishing gear inside.  This I find so cool because it just goes to show how big our sport is becoming.

Pull Out At Rock House

Well we hit up the Cumberland River yesterday; it was a beautiful day not a cloud in the sky "Just ask Sam she got fried".  I had 6 pairs sunglasses I needed to wear for my upcoming "Asian Macrocrania" article.  Not too often you get to try out that many different glasses while fishing!

Native's Updates for 2011

Marks Christmas List For Santa

Every year I still write a letter to Santa telling him what I want for Christmas.  Yes I'm 31 years old and some might say too old to still be writing to Santa.  How else is "anyone" to know what I'd like this year?  Well this year I decided to break with tradition and instead of sending a list I'd post a list on my blog.  I hope they get the Internet up in the North Pole and Santa checks out YakAngler every week!
