After doing a quick Google search, which revealed hundreds of options, we each picked one to try out for three months.

Minimizing Tackle to Maximize Time

Sometimes less can be more when fishing. ”Less” can help make you a better angler, and give you more confidence in different baits and presentations. I have three tips that have helped me in tournaments, as well as to enjoy more time fishing and less time tying on different baits.

Doug Hannon, "The Bass Professor" and the inventor of the WaveSpin fishing reel, has passed away at the age of 66. It is believed that complications from a recent neck surery played a factor in Hannon's death.

New Spring kayak fishing gear

We are in a new year, and judging by all the new gear being offered to kayak anglers 2013 promises to be big. From kayaks to tackle and clothing to cameras, manufacturers are stepping up with some cool items to add to our wish lists. New and redesigned kayaks took center stage at ICAST 2012, but there were several other items that are definitely worthy of consideration. These are just a few of many new additions to the marketplace.

More and more we hear about possible legislation prohibiting lead in certain waters.Usually these talks are focusing on waterfowl protection, and sportsmen are quick to push against the lawmakers and organizations hopeful for their causes. While the politics about lead use in fishing and hunting will make your head spin, there is no argument that lead is a toxic substance, period. Here are some great alternatives to lead that work excellently, and deserve a place in your tackle box.

Bag it...

The first booth I stopped at when I walked in the doors to ICAST was one that I returned to at least twice a day for the rest of the show.  Precision-Pak manufactures a variety of fishing gear organization products, and many of those are made just for kayaks and kayak anglers.
