Wish they still offered them

I researched fishing kayaks for almost 6 months before settling on this model and I couldn't be more pleased. Love the open cockpit design! I bought two, one for me and one for my son. We use them to fish mostly ponds, reservoirs and small lakes but we've gotten them out on slow moving rivers as well with no issues. We picked up some of the side mount rod holders from BPS and they fit perfectly on the inside lip for the dash. BAM! For less than the amount of sales tax now they're fully set up for fishing....

Nice smaller Mirage Drive kayak

I bought a Hobie Mirage Sport after trying a friends larger Mirage model. I needed something that was under 10' to fit in a cargo trailer. I am VERY impressed with the Hobie construction and engineering. Stable and comfortable. I have used the Sport in mountain lakes, rivers, and the protected coastal water in the Gulf of Mexico - and definitely prefer it over my other brand sit-in (which, fortunately, my wife prefers). It is heavy, though. For accessories, I bought the sail (decent in limited wind conditions) and the Hobie wheels, that make moving it around much...

Overall a great kayak

Purchased Manta Ray in May for fishing. Since then I have used this Kayak in slow rivers and lakes. It is stable and what I was looking for. Starting with the seat it is very comfortable. There are straps on either side to adjust it. The foot rests are adjustable but they feel flimsy. If I push on the left foot rest the rest moves out of place. The cockpit has several handy features.
