Kayak Fishing Ultimate Resource

I am trying to start up a group on Facebook in order to raise awarness and conservation of McNeely Lake Park in Louisville. See the link below to join the Group.

The Initial plan is to organize a clean sweep day for the lake and I would like as many Kayak fishermen there to support the event.

"Mission: The Friends of McNeely Lake Park (FoMLP) is an organization dedicated to preserving the natural beauty and usefulness of McNeely Lake Park in Louisville KY, for everyone who enjoys its recreational pleasures.

The mission is accomplished through volunteer work, community awarness, and interaction with the Louisville Metro Parks organization.

Phase 1- Initial member recruitment.
Phase 2- Planning for 1st FoLMP clean sweep day. Coordination with Metro Parks and gather supporting organizations.
Phase 3- FoLMP clean sweep day and pubilicty of organization. (May Timeframe)
Phase 4- Development and refinement of FoLMP goals, mission statement, and future events.

I have seen this program at work on urban lakes and park lands before. The develoment and involvement of this group could have a major positive effect on McNeely Lake Park and the surrounding community. "
