A short while ago they announced that Sunline would be amongst the list of brands acting as a sponsor this year and now AFTCO is joining the roster as well. The IFA Tours' 2020 season began February 8-9 in Titusville, Florida and the partnership with AFTCO will include both the IFA Kayak Tour as well as the IFA Redfish Tour presented by Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's.
Keith Gree, the IFA Tournament Director, has stated that IFA is one big family, so it makes sense to have a family-run business like AFTCO as a sponsor. He also praised their commitment to making the best products possible and for their dedication to protecting fishing resources and angler rights.
AFTCO, which began way back in 1958, is a 3rd generation family-owned company with a strong passion for the promotion of conservation. They make quality fishing equipment and apparel while donating 10% of their sales directly to support conservation initiatives across the country.
Another new sponsor that joined as a sponsor this year is Ascend who are known for the affordable kayaks that they manufacture. Despite their lower price tags Ascend kayaks typically include a lot of features that are commonly only found on higher-priced kayaks.
Participants in the IFA Redfish Tour this season will be competing for prices such as a fully rigged RB190 Ranger boat as well as cash prizes. Thanks to Ascend, each regular-season event first-place finisher will be awarded an Ascend 128T kayak while second-place comes with an Ascend 12T kayak.
