Extreme "Summer Slam" 2016

The 2016 Extreme Kayk Fishing “Summer Slam is in the books, with almost 120 kayakers participating. Rob Rodriguez’ 30 lb. blackfin tuna set a new tournament record, and Kristen Hansen’s 33.5 lb. kingfish was the largest ever brought to the scales by a lady angler.

Here are the results:

1st Place - Ricardo Palmero - $5,000 (Turbo USA) ,Global Fishmounts Trophy - 58.4 lbs.

2nd Place - Benny Townend - Hobie “Outback” (Nautical Ventures), Global Trophy - 39.4 lbs.

3rd Place - Freddy York - Hobie “Revolution” (Nautical Ventures), Global Trophy - 37.5 lbs

4th Place - Kristen Hansen - $1,000 (Pompano Ford) - 33.5 lb kingfish. 5th Place - Robinson Rodriguez, - Eddy Gear “Stingray” - 30 lb tuna.

6th Place - Bobby Buzaki - $500 (Pompano Ford) - 29.2 lbs.

7th Place - Samuel Palacios - Costa Sunglasses ($250) - 28.6 lbs.

8th Place - James Butters - $200 Jimmy Jigs Gift Card - 23.5 lbs.

9th Place - Daniel Gauzens - $100 Aftco Gift Card - 22.9 lbs.

10th Place - Daniel Foster$50 Dick's Sporting Goods Gift Card - 20.2 lbs.
