On June 4, come test your skills against some of the best kayak anglers in the Lowcountry. Fishing the waters and surrounding flats of the upper Wando River will give you a great opportunity to catch red drum, trout, and more. Come enjoy a day on the water and take in some Southern charm.

The Lowcountry Kayak Anglers will host the Battle at Paradise Tournament, formerly known as the "RedfishvilleShoot-Out". This a redfish/speckled trout tournament to support Heroes on the Water (HOW), a nonprofit charity that takes injured vets fishing. The tournament will be held June 4, 2016, with a captains meeting that morning. All anglers will be required to be present and launch from Paradise Island boat landing on the day of the tournament. Approximate address 1451 Chandler Road, Awendaw, SC 29429. Registration fee is $30. 100% of the proceeds go to HOW. The biggest redfish/trout aggregate wins, and prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third places. Additional prizes will be awarded for largest redfish and largest trout. A raffle will also be held with more prizes.
