Kayak fishing is one the fastest growing sports all across the world. In order to continue fostering growth of the sport, we are putting on some events here in the Midwest. The Spooky Bass Kayak Fishing Tournament will take place at Lake Wanahoo in Wahoo City, NE on October 26, 2013.

This awesome lake is only thirty minutes west of Omaha, NE and camping sites are available. We currently have anglers from Iowa, South Dakota, Kansas, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Nebraska. We hope to have people from as far as Ohio to come this Midwest battle.

This Catch, Photo, and Release (CPR) tournament is open to everybody. Entry fee is $25 per angler. Pay-off will be for the first three places, but there is a separate pot for the longest northern pike. Entry will be five total largemouth bass and one (optional) northern pike, so be ready to battle a pike and get it measured and photographed. Longest pike takes all the pot $$$.

We have many prizes, so there will be some raffles in order to increase the chance of everybody walking away with a nice prize. The "Captain's Bag" includes a gift card from Power Team Lures, a free subscription to Kayak Angler Magazine, and other goodies. Also, bring a bass lure and throw it in the Captain's bucket for a chance to win the "Best Dang Tackle Box" prize. One person will take all lures! At this point sponsors include Select Sail & Sports (Your Hobie dealer in the Midwest), YakAttack, YakGear, Railblaza, C-tug Trolley, Ram Mounts, Bass Pro Shop, Power Team Lures, Backwater Paddle Company, and we’re waiting on more. Part of the entry fees will go to Heroes on the Water, and the first three places will get the rest. Look us up on Facebook and sign up today. T-Shirts are available for $15 until September 30, so order now.

We have prizes for top three places, longest bass, longest Northern Pike and all kinds of raffles, not to mention the "Best Dang Tackle Box" raffle. I need to edit the text, since we are getting folks from North Dakota and Minnesota. Awesome!
