In less than a month after publicly announcing the 2010 Georgia Kayak Fishing Tournament and Festival Trail,  the Georgia Kayak Fishing Foundation (GKFF) has already signed up over 60 anglers coming from 8 different states.

“We knew the formula of adding family oriented festivals, top shelf sponsors and unparalleled locations would be well received, but we didn’t expect the response to be this widespread so early.”  Adds GKFF Executive Director, Tony Narcisse, “Kentucky, Tennessee, both Carolinas, Virginia, Florida, Alabama and of course Georgia have combined to extend our reach across most of the Southeast and into the Mid Atlantic States. It’s been phenomenal!”

The festivals and tournaments are designed to showcase kayak fishing and related activities as a way to participate in the outdoors in a fun, healthy and sustainable manner. Couple those laudable goals with the fact each festival is a fundraiser for outdoor and youth related charities and it appears GKFF has formulated a winning combination.

“Our sponsors have gone the extra mile to not only embrace these festivals and tournaments, but have made a commitment to our youth and the environment” states Narcisse, “We could not have been more honored to partner with better companies or better citizens.”
