On May 5, 2012,the Kayak Fishing ClassicS will hold our next tournament in Ozello, FL. The Third Annual Ozello Redfish & Trout Classic will be hosted by Pecks Old Port Cove Restaurant, located at 139 North Ozello Trail in Crystal River. This famous eatery is worth the trip by itself, but the Nature Coast is there just to make the trip sweeter.

The waters in the area are amazing, with the flow from the Homosassa and Chassahowitzka Rivers washing over the grasslands and creating the Saint Martin’s Reef just off shore. The redfish and trout are known to be large and strong fighters. There are many natural springs to oxygenate the water, and plenty of natural baits. The crab population is huge, so spotting tailing reds is not uncommon - and that always gets kayak anglers excited.

The launch point for the Ozello Classic is right at Pecks Old Port Cove. The online entry fee is only $40, and the captains meeting is also online. To register for your shot at over $8,000 in sponsor gear prizes, please visit www.KayakFishingClassicS.com.  Thanks, and see you there!
