JBAY 2011 Results

The results from the 2011 Jamaica Bay Kayak Fishing Tournament are in. In the 8th Annual Event 337 anglers competed for the first time ever over 3 days from May 13th to May 15th. The proceeds from the tournament benefit Casting for Recovery.

This year junior and electric kayak divisions were added to the tournament. Although the bite was slow at times it was a great time and some big fish were caught.

Friday and Saturday brought clear weather with the usual wind, and with heavy rain and thunderstorms on the radar on Sunday fishing on the final day was called off.

Open Division:
1.    Bob Stuber 42 1/2" bass
2.    Chris Voorhes 40" bass
3.    Adrian Gonzeles 38: bass (tie)
4.    Marty McMaahon 38" bass (tie)

Fly Division:
1.    Kurt Schwartz 30 1/4" bass
2.    Rob Jagde 25" bass
3.    Chuck Mills 23" bass

Electric Division:
1.    Bob simone 30 " bass
2.    Chris Parsons 28" bass
3.    Mark Zimmerman 22" bass

JR. Division Participants:
•    Hannah Blezins
•    Jake Mieczkowski
•    Emmett Grossbard
•    James Maloney
•    Dylan Sobina
