Z-Man has always been a family-owned company and the health and safety of its employees remain a top priority. They have stated that they will continue to operate their warehouse and production facilities at full capacity, so long as it's safe to do so, to provide a stable income for their staff. However, increased cleaning protocols have been implemented and their building has also been temporarily closed to outside visitors. Z-Man is also encouraging its staff to practice social distancing, both outside of work and inside their facility. In the event that they deem it necessary to close Z-Man also has a plan in place to continue paying their employees. Extended paid leave for their staff experiencing adverse symptoms or requiring time off to care for an ill family member is also being offered.
Fans of Z-Man products have also been reassured that the brand is doing its best to ensure that their products remain widely available across North America as well as overseas. Since the company manufactures the majority of its products on-site at their South Carolina based headquarters they are not as affected as companies vulnerable to supply chain issues in other countries.
Jonathan Zucker, Chairman of Z-Man, has stated that they absolutely encourage social distancing and that getting outside and fishing - if it can be done safely and within any local restrictions can help ease the current tensions experienced by everyone.
