Z-Man has announced that Kristine Fischer, who won the 2019 Hobie Bass Open at Kentucky Lake, has joined their fishing team.

According to Fischer, she has been a fan of Z-Man products, like their soft plastics and ChatterBait Bladed Jigs even before meeting the folks behind the brand. Fischer, who hails from Weeping Water, Nebraska, currently spends her time traveling and fishing across America with her fiancée AJ. So far she has racked up an impressive 25 tournament stops during her travels from California to Georgia. She also credits a Z-Man ChatterBait JackHammer with helping her cash her first check in a national bass tournament.

Joey Prochazka, Z-Man pro staff and promotions manager describes Kristine as a talented and die-hard angler who has a habit of staying on the water longer than anyone else. He went on to stay that she is a true trailblazer and effectively represents the kayak fishing community who were early adopters of the ElaZtech baits. Fischer makes use of a Hobie Pro Angler and firmly believes that minimizing her tackle inventory is a time-saver as well as a necessity. Packing light allows her to keep hot bait at her fingertips and the durability, as well as the versatility of Z-Man bait, means that they don't get torn up after just a few bites.

Although Fischer has stated that she didn't want to be singled out as a female angler at first the number of women who reached out to her to tell her how inspired they were has made a big impact. Joey Prochazka also added that it is important to Z-Man to give a voice to all female anglers and have someone for them to root for in the angling community. When asked what advice she has for fellow female anglers, she stated that competitive kayak fishing can be an intimidating sport for women because it is so male-dominated. However, she believes that women can succeed if they are truly passionate about it and go do it with every single bit of their being while believing in themselves. We would like to congratulate Kristine and look forward to seeing her future accomplishments.
