Kayak anglers all across Florida may have noticed that the water quality in the area is not what it used to be, which has had an impact on sport fisheries in this state. This has resulted in what many has dubbed a "mini migration" as kayak anglers begun turning their attention to the Nature Coast.
This is thanks to the relatively pristine lakes, rivers as well as inshore areas that can be found there. The Nature Coast has also become a tempting destination for central Florida residents who are increasingly picking kayak angling over other less exciting forms of outdoor recreation. If you count yourself amongst those with an interest in the Nature Coast for kayak fishing, then the new book by author Gary Rankel, Finding the Treasures of the Trails - Kayak Fishing Citrus Country, could be something to look out for.
The book is the third in the Treasure of the Trails series and features a lot of useful information for kayak anglers. In addition to the tips, tricks and techniques in the "how-to" section of the book, it also has a "where to paddle and fish" section. This is where you will find close to thirty color maps that highlight everything from launch sites and fishing routes to hot-spots for all manner of fish.
The book is available right now, so head on over to https://treasuresofthetrails.com or https://squareup.com/store/buendia-press if you are interested in the area and would like to know more about it.
