New Beginnings New Beginnings

Years ago, Mark and Adam, two kayak anglers who are very passionate about the sport, had the vision to create a community-driven website that would become the ultimate kayak fishing resource. YakAngler was born and the site has grown to exceed their expectations. The time has come for Mark and Adam to pass the torch to Advertical Media, a small Florida-based publishing company that consists of a dedicated team of people.

As new owners, we hope to continue their legacy in that vision, with the same passion for kayak fishing as a sport. We wish them all the best with their new endeavors.

Through the years, Yakangler has become a home for many anglers, providing all the latest news in the industry, interesting DIY articles, gear reviews and a very active forum in which kayak anglers from all over the world can discuss the latest tricks of the trade. At Advertical Media, we recognize that the secret to the site's success can greatly be attributed to the community, the pro-staffers and the contributions of each and every angler who wanted to help promote the sport. It was the personal touch of each and every person involved in YakAngler that has caused the site to flourish in the past. We do not want to change a formula that is clearly working very well, and are not planning on making drastic changes to the site's current structure.

We will try to find sponsors and advertisers that are a good match for YakAngler, but we will not ruin the user experience or destroy the content with spammy ads. That is not how we do things. We have had contact with the pro-team members, and were overwhelmed by how welcoming and helpful everybody has been. The pro-team members will remain in their capacity and we will be working closely with the current moderators to keep the forums well-maintained and active.

Our main focus for 2017 is to get more interesting content up on YakAngler and get the site to flourish once again. A lack of fresh content has become a bit of an issue in the past year, so we have plans in place on how to get new articles up every week. We also hope to reveal some great surprises in the nearby future and want to work closely with the community in order to produce articles that you will enjoy reading. If you have tried out a piece of gear recently, please share your experience with us so other users can benefit from your review. If you know about a tournament that is coming up and we haven't covered it yet, do get in touch, and if you have any tips or fishing experiences to share, we would love to hear from you.

We are truly looking forward to working with all of you so we can keep growing YakAngler in the vision of its founders.
