To paraphrase Theodore Roosevelt, it’s not the size of the fish in the fight, but the size of the fight in the fish. You have to figure Teddy would have had his eyes keenly focused on our new Trout Series spinning rods. Like the popular Panfish Series, our new Trout rods offer the perfect blend of weight, sensitivity and balance. Both series serve up incredibly dialed-in, specialized performance for fish that require the utmost finesse and delicacy.

Great Ultralight Rod from St. Croix

Bought this rod to go with a Shimano Stradic FJ 1000 reel for my ultralight rig. I've used it for about 3-4 months now and it is a great little setup. I fish rivers and lakes catching Rainbows, Browns, Spotted Bass and some Sunfish. It's held up great! It's the best feeling when you hook into a nice size Spotted bass and feel every bit of fight from the fish. It's got nice rod action and the flex in the rod is great. I've had a Spot bend the thing all the back on itself and it didn't break. I'd highly recommend this rod for anybody looking for an ultralight rod. I bought the 2 piece (TSS60ULF2).
