G-Loomis “NRX 873c CRR” is powerful, lightweight, and sensitive. It is sensitive enough to optimize the Carolina Rig experience. The chief complaint of the Carolina Rig is how difficult it is to feel a bite because nature of the rig and the target zones. This rod aids in addressing these concerns for any kayak angler.

NRX 873c CRR

Although the 873c CRR(Carolina Rig Rod) is designed for throwing a Carolina rig, don't let the name fool you...this is no one trick pony. It certainly throws Carolina rigs as good or better than most, but this rod can do so much more. I have used for med/hvy flipping and pitching duties and I have thrown a frog with it. Although this rod is rated as a 3 power, don't let that fool you, it feels more like a very strong 4 rating in my hands.

Like every other NRX I have fished with, the sensitivity is second to none. You can feel every contour of the bottom, and even tell when it changes from sand to rock to mud. Again, don't let the conservative 3 power rating scare you away, I have pulled out some up to 7 pounders from some nasty slop and the rod never even flinched.

At 550 retail, this rod is not for everyone, but if you want one of the best, then definitely take look at the NRX lineup from GLoomis.
