I picked this rod up when I was fishing the Jax Kayak Fishing Classic just to give it a try. The rod is well built with the guides being straight and no excess epoxy runs. The thread wraps looked good under the epoxy also. It is a local (to me) company and I figured I would give it a try and see how it worked out.
The 150 USD price tag seems to be just a bit high for this rod, IMO it should fall around 119 USD, but since my money went to a local company I have no problem purchasing it. I have only had it on the water three times and have not caught anything big enough to give it a true workout. I will say the sensitivity is good, and the action feels a little slower than a true fast action rod. The biggest fish I caught so far was a 3.6 lb bass and this rod handled that fish with ease. I can only guess that a bigger fish will quickly be brought to the boat also.
When it comes time to replace one of your rods and you want something that is a little bit different, give Cajun Custom Rods a look.
