Your thoughts on Kayak Fishing: The best thing about this sport is the camaraderie, for instance your driving down the road and you see a yak on a roof of a car, you kind of do the "motorcycle wave", or you pull up and there are a few people getting things ready, and they come over to help you get you yak off the roof and ask you if you want to buddy up. Plus the ability to sneak up on a big old pig of a bass deep in the paddies that all of the bass boat guys try to get too but they can't, I love that.

Your favorite Kayak Fishing moment: Geez, I have allot, but it would have to be last summer, there was a guy with his kid fishing Lynnhaven inlet, on a tandem yak don't remember the name of the yak itself, but the dad was slaying the smaller flounder and the boy wasn't catching anything, and consequently the kid gave up and was complaining to his dad when the boys rod started to move, know the kid had his line pulled up but the bait was about a foot in the water, and hooked a big old fish taking drag and dragging the yak through the water, so I see this from a distance and decided to paddle over cause the dad was extremely scared because they are getting pulled around and the kid was giggling like crazy. the kid faught this fish for over 45 min, before he saw it, a big old cobia! Got next to him and gaffed the fish for the kid and helped him put it in the yak, dad was a little embarrassed but the face of the kid is something I will never forget.

Favorite fish species, and why: Largemouth bass, I have fished for most of saltwater species and yes the pull and strength is second to none, but the strategies needed to get a 10 plus pound bass is really the biggest challenge.

Bait, hardware or flies: Hardware a topwater frog around submerged wood is nothing but special.

Country or Rock-n-Roll: Hmmm both, sublime for when I’m chillin, and country when I’m in the sticks.
