Okuma Helios Air baitcaster

Reel Make & Model

Brand:
MSRP ($):
269.99

The all-new Okuma "Helios Air", trims more than a half-ounce from high-speed Helios low-profile reels to strengthen the connection between angler and fish by minimizing the presence of the gear that comes between. The Helios Air reels are impressive due to the total weight of the reel coming in at 5-7 ounces which falls into the featherweight category. The frame and the the side plates of the Helios Air are constructed from magnesium; maintaining all the structural integrity as well as offering an ergonomic full feel in the palm of your hand.

Great reel for the money!

I've been kayak fishing for almost 5 years and I own both a Revo MGX and Helios air. I first purchased one after using a Komodo. I was so impressed with the performance of the Komodo I picked an AIR up the next week. I have used a lot of Revo's in my day and can honestly say that this reel is as good as the competition at a better price point. It is extremely smooth, cast lightweight baits a mile, and has a consistent drag. The one i bought I paid $215 for and consider that a very reasonable price. The reel comes with a three year warranty that Okuma stands behind.
