Constructed from corrosion-resistant X2-Cräftic aluminum alloy, the Abu Garcia "Revo SX" Baitcaster offers light weight and increased durability. The Revo SX boasts stainless steel bearings plus an Infini II spool design for smooth casting with added distance. A Carbon Matrix drag system provides smooth, consistent drag pressure across the entire drag range. The Revo SX Reel’s D2 Gear Design provides a more efficient gear system with improved gear durability. A MagTrax magnetic brake system gives consistent brake pressure throughout the cast. An Infini II spool design is used for extended castability and extreme loads. Other features include a compact bent handle and star for a more ergonomic grip. A titanium-coated line guide reduces friction and improves durability.

Been a very good reel to me

I have this reel paired with a Fenwick HMG 7' MH with a fast tip. I use it quite a bit for frogging, swim baits, and swim jigs. It will cast a 1/4oz swim jig with ease. It has done quite well at pulling the bass out of the slop. I will say though for a 1/3 less of the price of a revo SX, I use a Phlueger BC that does just as good. So, the price IMO is a bit high, but the SX is a very good reel.

My new favorite reel!

Having not owned a baitcasting reel for the last 20 years and in need of a reel for muskie and pike, I decided to do some shopping for a new reel. My research and the salesman at the big chain sporting goods store led me to the Revo SX. It took me a couple of outings to get used to a baitcasting reel again, but it didn't take me too long since this thing is so smooth. I've thrown everything from a heavy spinner bait to a 1/4 ounce jig without any problems. Pretty happy with the purchase and I look forward to trying it on redfish next spring.

Great Reel!

I love this reel because of how light it was. the reel is only 6.6 ounces, and it looks amazing. It is also very smooth throughout the entire retrieve. another thing that i love about this reel is how quiet it was you cant hear a thing when reeling it in. another thing is the line capacity it can hold 145 yards of 12 pound mono. I put eva knobs on this reel and it made it 10 times better when fishing in cold conditions and for all day situations. Also if you are looking for a good pole then i would recommend the abu garcia vendetta rods. the only drawback of this reel is abu needs to put a reel cover in the box because if i am going to spend 150$ on a reel then i think it should come with more then a little container lube.
