Great Reel

This is a great reel that has had some heavy use for the last few years. I have used it as a backup when i'm out solo, but it is my wife's main reel. Between her, my son, and daughter using it, it has held up amazing. They have had a number of tangles, but I have never had one, so we'll blame that on user error. :) Good overall reel.

Penn Pursuit 3000

I have been using a Penn Pursuit 300 spinning reel since 2010. It has taken quite a beating, and caught a number of fish. It's been used in freshwater and saltwater environments, from small farm ponds, to a few miles offshore. It's even been fully submerged in saltwater for a few minutes. Still, this reel has held up nicely. It has a good look, a nice drag system, and everything else one would need to bring fish to the boat at a fraction of the cost of a lot of other reels. The Penn Pursuit is a great reel for anyone looking for something low budget, and high quality. Take care of this reel, and it will last forever.

Durable reel

Really like this reel. It does what it should with no problems at all. It has lasted longer than most of my other reels that are corroded in salt water. All I have to do to keep it working is rinse it off after a day of fishing. I have dropped it in the water a few times and it still works like new, just by cleaning at the end of the day. Drag works great and is smooth nothing has loosened up or fallen off it is great.
