Hobie launched three new sunglasses and a new lens profile at the New Product Zone during the 2020 ICAST Online event.
The sunglasses are part of their Hobie Polarized brand, which is geared towards the fishing community and designed with premium quality and affordable prices in mind.

Kristine Robinson, Senior Marketing Manager at Hobie Polarized, stated that their 2020 collection is an ode to the Hobie way of life and that they are introducing products that seamlessly fit into an angler's everyday activities. She also mentioned that each of the new fishing styles, and the upgraded Sightmaster+ lens profile showcase how dedicated they are to improving the angler's time on the water. According to Kristine, Hobie is proud to introduce fishing-specific styles and a lens technology that incorporates value attributes for the angler.

El Matador is the first of the new frames and offers a full coverage frame that is made possible thanks to the integrated side shields. These shields not slide into place with ease, but help block sunlight, which can in turn improve sightlines in the distance. In addition to the Hydro 360 degree polarized lenses and retracting side shields, the El Matador style also features a TR-90 frame, durable hinges, co-molded megol rubber, and 8 base polycarbonate lenses. It's available in a range of colors, including Satin Black, Satin Black / Copper, Satin Black / Green Mirror, Satin Brown Tortoise, and Satin Grey Tortoise.

Next up are Everglades and Snook, which are both true sport-wrap frames with comfort and durability at the forefront. The new frames are not the only things that are new either. Hobie has also upgraded their proprietary amber lens, Sightmaster+, with a reformulated color profile. This was done for a better view beneath the water's surface when using the sunglasses. Overall, the new frames and lens were designed to not only help anglers to perform, but to also ensure that they enjoy their time on the water at the same time.
