Kayak anglers are all quite aware of what type of damage pollution can do to the environment. Recycling can go a long way towards ensuring that trash doesn't end up in the ocean, rivers or streams where they can cause havoc.
This is why it is great to see that more people are doing their part when it comes to recycling soda bottles and other plastics. However, GILL has gone one step further in their efforts to help grow conservationism. The brand recently announced that they have embarked on a unique initiative where they product fishing apparel that has been manufactured with performance fabrics made from recycled PET bottles.

The range is known as Holcombe Crew and is available for men and women. According to GILL, these long-sleeve shirts are comfortable and perfect for days on the water. In addition to featuring soft 'cotton touch' fabric for superior next-to-skin comfort, these shirts are also quick-drying and crease-resistant. It requires minimal effort to care for the shirts as they are machine-washable too. Not bad for fabric that contains the byproducts of plastics recycling with 50% polyamide, 48% polyester and 2% elastane.

The Holcombe Crew makes it easy to boost your efforts to support the environment. The Women's Holcombe Crew shirts are available in sizes 4 through 12 and wearers have a choice between fashionable grey marl and blue-tinted sky colors. The Men's Holcombe Crew shirts are available in sizes M-XXL and consist of grey marl, charcoal, and ocean colors. For more information about Gill's fishing rainwear and additional apparel, check out their official website HERE (https://www.gillmarine.com/us/fishing.html).
