Nice fit but not for a Hi Back seat

I have noticed that the world of fishing although somewhat accommodating doesn't host as many selections for women's gear as it does for males. That said I am not naive to the fact that it is a male dominated recreation. None the less, I do enjoy fishing. I have learned to adjust. For example, I now know what size shoe I wear in men's. Men have a wider selection in everything fishing. This is also the case when it comes to personal floatation devices.

I was trying to find a vest that would accommodate my female anatomy, shorter torso with bigger hips, and doesn’t ride up. Recently, I had written a company to ask to try some vests prior to purchase. I am happy that I did. I have had the opportunity demo two PFDs from the company Kokatat. They sent me a model specifically designed for women the MsFit. They also sent one of their more unisex models the Bahia Tourthat seems to be accommodating for women as well as men.

The MsFit had a great fit. It stopped soon enough on my torso that when sitting it didn’t hit my thighs or ride up because of my waist. It also felt accommodating for my chest. It has 3 adjustable side straps, an adjustable waist clip and a chest clip inside the zippered front that made for a more personal fit that could accommodate varying chest and waist sizes. The shoulder straps are adjustable as well. It didn’t ride up at all once it was adjusted. The MsFit has enough pockets to keep the tools you use most often handy and secure in the event you should go under. The only con I could find with this PFD was that I have a high back seat on my kayak. This created a bit more distance between me and the seat than I would like. I would prefer to use the MsFit with my seat with the lower back.
