X-Grip mount by Ram Mounting Systems has developed a mount which safely and securely cradles your phone, tablet, or phablet with an adjustable peg system.  The peg system enables kayak anglers to use electronic devices without the obstruction of foam and plastics that other mounts utilize. The composite connector and SB1 screwball diversifies the mounting options of your electronic device.

X Grip...Extreme Grip!

Here is a product that anyone that uses a cell phone on the water should have (along with a waterproof case). My I Phone 6 sits inside a Lifeproof case, which protects it from the elements. But what do you do to keep from losing it while still keeping it handy? Enter the X Grip.

Easy to use, just squeeze the sides and insert your phone. Once in place, it won't fall out. To test the holding power I put my phone in the cradle and shook it like you would do to an old style thermometer....no loss of grip. I am confident that even if I flipped, my X Grip would do it's job.

The X Grip comes with a 1" ball available in a few different mounting options. I have the screwball and mount it in my gear track. Yak Attack also sells a suction cup mount that will install on any smooth flat surface....such as your car windshield so you can use it just about anywhere.

The X Grip Universal automatically adjusts for whatever size smart phone or small electronic device you choose. A larger version at 7" will hold larger electronics and Yak Attack even has one at 10" to fit an I pad.

A great way to secure your small electronic device or smartphone on deck and at $42 (w trackball) is a worthwhile investment for those expensive smartphones that we don't want to lose!

    • I like that it has gear track pre-installed. If you do not want a front hatch, the compass is a looker. You could even cut a hatch if you wanted.
