Paddle Board Make & Model

BIC Sport
Ace-Tec Cross Fish
MSRP ($):

The ACE-TEC Cross Fish by BIC Sport is a stand up paddle board that was designed with versatility first and foremost. This is a board that is not only useful for fishing, but can also be used for fitness and yoga if you want. The Cross fish has a keeled nose design, which along with its low rocker and long waterline means that it is able to offer better tracking as well as better gliding. This translates to a smoother paddling experience, so you can get to your favorite fishing spots faster and with less effort.

This 12 foot paddle board has a weight of 43 pounds, which translates to a maximum weight capacity of about 350 pounds. Since it comes with an ergo-grip carry handle, it is also easy to transport the Cross Fish to where you want to use it. Another great feature of the Cross Fish is the stability that it has to offer, which is thanks to its full rail-to-rail volume. With this stand up paddle board you don't just get enough stability for a dry ride, but you can also make use of the entire deck without having to worry about losing your balance. There's nothing worse than a paddle-board with an uncomfortable deck if you spend a long time fishing, but the embossed-EVA pad found on the Cross Fish doesn't have this issue. In addition to being very comfortable, it also offers plenty of traction, which is another big plus while fishing.

The ACE-TEC Cross Fish has got plenty of space on its deck, which means you can take along enough gear and gadgets for angling. You don't have to worry about losing any of your gear either as this paddle-board features a number of attachment points. These points are placed strategically along the deck area and they are perfect for fastening your cooler, accessories and other gear.

The performance and stability of the Cross Fish make it a good choice for those who are new to fishing from paddle-boards. Its stability and versatility also means that you can get more use out of it than just angling. Since this is the fishing version of the paddle-board, it comes with a full-length deck pad and integrated tracks that are great for your fishing accessories. However, bear in mind that for the price of the Cross Fish you can also invest in a decent fishing kayak.

    • Not really...I would have thrown that kayak away out of frustration before the brace ever had a chance to break. I still say upgrade!
