ISLE Glider

Paddle Board Make & Model

The ISLE Glider is a stand up paddle board that is a versatile option for those who love fishing, but would also like to use it to venture out into the open ocean or medium surf. It is the most popular epoxy standup paddle board in the ISLE range and available in 9'10” or 10'10”. The former is 30” wide and 4 1/4” thick while the latter is 31” wide and 4 1/2” thick. Although the 10’ model is slightly heavier at 27 lbs compared to the 24 lbs of the 91 model, its capacity of 250 lbs is 40 lbs more. However, regardless of which model you choose, you’ll find a standup paddle board that offers great glide as well as tracking.

Starting at the front of the Glider, you’ll find an action camera mount that can be used for placing your GoPro or any FCS compatible camera. If you are the type of angler who love shooting stills or video of your catches, then you’ll love this feature. Towards the front of the board you’ll also find an expandable bungee system that can be used for storing your gear. The center of the board features a soft brushed EVA traction pad. This pad delivers excellent comfort and since it is non-abrasive, it remains comfortable even when you are knee paddling or simply relaxing on the deck.

If you regularly take your board out on hot days or have to use enclosed transport to get it to where you want to be then you’ll appreciate the Gortex vent plug. It is specially designed to be maintenance free and enables air to be released safely from the core of the board when rapid temperature changes occur. This offers protection against delamination and ensures that you get more use out of your board. In addition, the Glider features the patented LIFT SUP pop-out carry handle, which makes it easy to carry. Since the handle is constructed from military grade material you can also use it as a locking device if you want to safeguard your board. Finally, the GLIDER has a center box fine, which can be removed with ease for storage or transport.

Overall, this is a decent standup paddle board that offers great stability and it makes for a good fishing platform. If you carry a lot of gear with you then you might want to look for something with more storage options, but overall this board is hard to beat for the price.
