ISLE Megalodon 15'

Paddle Board Make & Model

Megalodon 15'
MSRP ($):

If you enjoy fishing as well as socializing with friends and family, then the ISLE Megalodon offers you the opportunity to combine both. This impressive multi person inflatable paddle board really lives up to its name with a width of 15’ and width of 56”. Add to this a capacity of 1050 lbs and you have a board that can comfortably take you, all your gear and a couple of companions out on the water with ease.

The Megalodon is not just huge, but tough as well, thanks to a military grade outer skin. It can definitely handle a couple of knocks and scrapes without sustaining any serious damage in the process. According to ISLE, the Megalodon can easily support between 5 and 7 riders. Although this is obviously not ideal for fishing, it does mean you can load on plenty of gear as well as a friend or family member to keep you company on the water while you wait for the big one to bite. However, the size of the Megalodon also means that it is going to be impossible for a single rider to really handle, so if you prefer fishing solo, then it will be better to opt for something a little more manageable.

Considering its size, it’s no surprise that the Megalodon can be loaded up with ease. It has 4 D-rings, connected with bungee cord, which provides ample space for storage. The Megalodon is exceptionally stable and, to make the ride even more comfortable, features a soft brushed EVA traction pad. This non-abrasive surface also makes it suitable for knee paddling or simply relaxing on the deck when you want to take a break. With a weight of about 50 pounds the Megalodon is far from light, but considering it’s size it is still an impressive feat for an inflatable paddle board. Just make sure that you have enough space to store it as it is still pretty sizable even when rolled up.

The bottom line is that this is not a board that is tailor made for fishing enthusiasts, but can get the job done provided you take some companions out with you. You are not going to find a board that is more sturdy out on the water and that offers such a stable platform. This is a board that is designed for multiple people, so if you are a solo angler you should look elsewhere, but other than that it is a worthy purchase. One thing is for sure, this board dwarfs most other inflatable paddle boards on the market.
