As expected from a board called a Yak Angler, this paddleboard is ideally suited for fishing. It can obviously be used for other water pursuits, such as crabbing or simply cruising, but that would be a waste of the pre-installed Scotty Rod Holders featured on this board. To provide you with the additional stability needed while angling, this board also has a recessed deck and catamaran bottom, while the front bungee tie down system takes care of your gear. Both front and rear handles make transporting the board a little easier and overall it is a good board for beginners as it is easy to paddle. Extra traction and comfort comes courtesy of the deck pad of the Yak Angler.
The Yak Angler 11'10” is definitely a board to consider if you don’t have enough indoor space for storage and worry about dings and scratches, as it can weather the elements with ease. A built-in scupper hole can be used to run a lock through, so you don’t have to worry about the board getting stolen if you store it outdoors. It’s not perfect as it can be difficult to paddle in wind or strong currents while the durability obviously comes at the cost of weight as well. However, it makes up for all of this with its stability and inexpensive price.
