Paddle Board Make & Model

Brand:
Bote
Model:
Rackham
MSRP ($):
2349

Using a paddle board that is designed for fishing is great, but if you would also like to use it for everyday touring it is better to opt for a versatile model. BOTE caters for this market with their Rackham paddle board. Fishing enthusiasts will still get the most out of this board as its shape makes it ideally suited for this hobby. Constructed with an EPS foam core, the Rackham is very durable, but a little on the heavy side for its length. Of course, the upside is that it can easily hold about 500 lbs, which should be more than enough for plenty of fishing gear and gadgets.

In terms of fishing specific features the Rackham delivers with a paddle sheath located at the front of the board which can be used to hold your paddle upright. It also has both front and rear bungee straps, cooler tie downs and five fin boxes that enable you to configure fins for any type of paddling situation. The multi-textured deck pad provides excellent grip, which coupled with the stability of the board ensures that it makes a great fishing platform. In addition, the hybrid displacement hull means better tracking and greater efficiency when you are paddling.

The shape of the Rackham 14’ differs slightly from other paddle boards on the market due to its square, sharp rail, but this improves stability, especially in chop, while also helping it to recover better out on the water. Thanks to the ConnexSUP interchangeable plug system that is featured on this board you are able to connect all of your accessories, from coolers and fish finders to cameras, GPS, fishing rod holders and more with ease. Additional storage is available using the stash pod, which is great for keeping smaller items like keys securely on the deck of the board.

Overall the Rackham 14’ is another great paddle board from Bote and one that not only makes for a great fishing platform, but also has the versatility to be used for other activities.
