Kayak anglers need an efficient paddle and Carlisle delivered with the blade of the "Magic" Paddle. The blade is efficient, slightly spooned shape that gives kayak fishermen added leverage for powerful strokes and performance.

Like many folks I got into kayak fishing on a tight budget. However, I knew that I didn't want a cheap aluminum paddle. Along came the Carlisle Magic Plus. For $100 MSRP (got mine for $80 at Dunham's with a coupon) this has been an exceptional paddle for the money. If you're on a budget I'd highly recommend checking out this paddle.
Now, with that said, until recently I couldn't figure out why anyone would spend $200 plus on a paddle. When I upgraded to my Cuda LT I realized my 230 cm Carlisle Magic Plus was not ideal so I shopped for a 240 cm paddle. I got a deal on a Werner Shuna Hooked & I have to tell you nice paddles do make a difference. The Magic Plus still gets 5 stars since I think it's a lot of paddle for the money. For $80-$100 there's no reason to buy a cheap aluminum paddle but I have to tell you, if you can afford it splurge on a nice paddle.
