I Can See !!! ... The Fish That Is

Best Series on kayaking and fishing !!!

I love the whole Sportsman's Best series. They are well written by people that live what they write about. This particular book is the series focuses on Sight Fishing. Sight fishing to me is more like hunting. You get in the right place at the right time and visually see your target. This can be demanding but very satisfying at the same time. Sight fishing has always been around but not that many salt water anglers were proficient at it. It can be hard to find a good experienced teacher. that is where this book comes in.

it spends a good amount of effort explaining how to "see" the fish and covers polarized glasses, boat and wade position relative to shadow and glare as well as how not spook the fish.

The are specific sections on weather, tides, indicators species, looking for specific species, etc. Tackle is also covered as are boats and lures. there is a very good section on fly fishing as well as bait casting and spin fishing techniques.

The main focus of the book is saltwater but there are some sections that discuss freshwater as well.

There is even a section on how to make the most of fishing with a guide.

Best of all through each page are tips and pointer son how to do the things you want to and need to do to make the sport fun, easy and safe.

Now if that isn't enough they include a DVD that covers and expands on what is in the book. I've been fishing for over 50 years and found lots of information that I didn't know but can apply to my everyday trips.

I rate this book and DVD combo a strong 5 out of 5 !!!
