Fish proven lipless crank

Good lipless crank for the money. Nice alternative to Rapala and Rattle Traps.

Red Eye Shad

This is one of my go-to baits. I don't go on the water without taking them.

Really great action on this bait that just calls the fish to it. Really loud in the water, I can hear it coming from a good distance so I know the fish can hear it too.

I usually let it sink for a few seconds instead of just ripping it as soon as it hits the water and I've found that to be really effective. Just know your depth because with the double treble hooks it isn't hard to get hung up quick.

Highly recommend this to be in your tackle box.

Such a versatile bait!

The Strike King Red Eye Shad is my go-to Lipless Crankbait. When the fish are feeding they will crush this bait. I love being able to fish this crank in many different situations areas: burn it over the tops of weeds, fish it along weedlines/breaklines, fish it in the river current, fish it around timber, slow roll it in deep water, burn it back to the boat, or yo-yo it. If you hang the bait up in weeds, rip it free and hold on - this often causes reaction strikes! Bass, Pike and Walleye love them here in the Midwest.

Strike King Red Eye Shad

I do not use lipless crankbaits very often, but when I do it is always a Red Eye Shad. These things catch fish so many different ways. Trolling, ripping, slow rolling, and even jigging. I love to rip these through submerged grass and bump them into laydowns.

The hooks are decent (which oftentimes is not the case with Strike King lures), the action is very good and the rattling is definitely a "fish-caller" from afar.

The only thing that I can say bad about these lures are the finishes could be a bit tougher in my opinion. If you use these in "stumpy" areas be prepared for the finish to be beat up after a day of fishing. I know this should not matter as they still catch fish when they look beat up. It is just a personal preference for me...I like for my lures to look good as well as fish good.

I love these!

I've been using the Red Eye Shad for years. This one of the lures that has a permanent place in my tackle box. I usually use these in the deeper water on the Potomac River for Bass and even had some Blue Cats grab them occasionally. The only problem I've had is the treble hooks grabbing every piece of Hydrilla they run across but that will happen with this style lure regardless of the brand.
