Another one of Jackall's secret lures with an already established presence overseas, the "Pompadour" is a walking topwater bait that mimics small amphibians, birds and large bugs as they crawl along the surface. Tackle enthusiasts may be familiar with this type of lure, many Japanese companies have released similar "crawling" topwater baits in the past most often to mimic the Cicada's which are a very popular food source for bass around the world. The Pompadour is engineered with metal wings that collapse as the lure is cast through the air and flare out upon hitting the water's surface. As you work the lure back to the boat, you'll be amazed at the manner in which this lure moves - it's is really quite astonishing how realistic its movements look.

Jackall Pompadour

The action of this lure can best be described as "unique." This lure makes more disturbance on the water than any lure I have ever used. This thing will call fish from all around to come investigate...and when the investigation happens, be prepared for a nasty strike. All of my fish on this lure have been definite no brainer "I am pissed off" strikes.

The price for this lure is a bit on the high side, but it is worth every penny in my opinion. I have yet to find a lure that makes as much commotion on top as this one does.

Pompadour

If you're looking for a topwater bait that is different than the usual this is the bait for you. I've only got to throw this a couple times but it probably the most unique bait I have in my tackle box.

The "Pompadour" just produces so much noise and disturbance on the surface that fish can't stand it and crush it. I love to fish topwater and I've just not seen fish attack a bait the way they do this one. It leaves a ton of wake with the flaps on the side for the fish to follow as well. Great sound in the chamber as well.

Not a ton of colors to choose from but I love the "Gill Bone". Price is on the higher side as well at $23.
