Part of my EDC

I’ve owned my SOG Pentagon Elite I knife now for over a year and I love it. It is large enough to handle most tasks and small enough to fit in my pocked on a daily basis. Can’t say I’ve much experience knife fighting with this blade but I would image it would perform well in any task you throw at it.

The Arc-Lock mechanism is great very smooth and sturdy. You can easily open this knife with the flick of the wrist and it will stay locked in the open position until you are fished with the task at hand.

The VG-10 Stainless Steel blade keeps an edge pretty well; and resists corrosion for the most part. I have noticed a few small marks that were easily cleaned off while cleaning.

The handle is made out of Zytel... Some fancy type of plastic or polymer. The handle is fine nothing fancy about it but it does give you a good grip on the blade. The clip in the handle can be moved to either side to allow for left or right handed people.

All in all this is a solid knife I would recommend to anyone looking for a slightly larger EDC “Every Day Carry” knife.

Great knife but illegal in some states

This is a solid knife. I've been using it for almost 2 years, I carry it daily. My only complaint is it is much larger than I originally thought and a cop told me that it was technically illegal to have in the state of Washington without a concealed deadly weapon permit.

Just something to keep in mind because I'm sure many of us who carry a folding knife don't want to worry about having a weapon permit.
