Jameson Redding showed us the brand new Coosa FD at Jackson Kayak's booth at ICAST 2017.

The Coosa FD's design is based on the very popular Coosa HD hull and deck layout, but adds the Flex Drive pedal drive system.  The boat has a nice handle and adequate drain plugs.  It features a hatch, which is easy to access and closes with latches.  It comes with a pedal drive system that is slightly different from what we are used to on other kayaks and Jameson showed us exactly how it works. All the gears are up top, so there is nothing to worry about maintenance-wise.  The Flex Drive is easy to take out and pop back in and has two different settings.  If you hit an obstacle, you can just fold it up into the boat.  The seat offers great lumbar support, can be set high or low and can slide forward and backward.  The boat has gear tracks on both sides and comes with a rod holder and tackle box. It has 4 moulded in flush inserts for a post-mount rod tube and rod holders on each side.

The Coosa FD retails for $2999.
