We paid a visit to the Deeper booth where Lucas and Nazim showed us the Deeper Smart Sonar, a very portable sonar device ideal for kayak angling.

When in use, the Deeper Smart Sonar connects via wifi, sending all sonar info straight to your smartphone. It allows anglers to have access to valuable information such as vegetation, the bottom structure, depth, water temperature - and, of course, to spot any fish in the vicinity.

The device was initially designed for shore anglers, who previously never had access to sonar while fishing, unlike boat fishermen.  Deeper then went a step further and designed the flexible arm boat mount for the sonar device,  creating a high-capacity sonar system from a kayak or any other paddle craft.  The device is very portable and quite inexpensive, compared to stationary fishfinders, with a price point from around $200-$240.
