Kayak anglers are constantly modifying their kayaks – adding some rod holders, an internal hatch for storage, mounts for GoPro and other waterproof video cameras... This DIY spirit runs deep in the kayak fishing community, but all this drilling, cutting, and gluing can have a price: rigging remorse.

It’s happened to almost all of us. We buy a new kayak, and can’t wait to get it set up with all the cool new accessories we’ve seen at ICAST and Outdoor Retailer. Before ever they ever see water, we get the new boat fully rigged for fishing, only to find out after a few trips that the camera mount gets in the way of your paddle stroke, or the new hatch you installed leaks.

One of the new products to hit the market - the “Kayak Kaddy” - solves all these issues without having to risk damaging your new kayak. We asked Jackson Kayak pro staffer Aaron Stinger to give us a full walkthrough of the Kayak Kaddy, and explain the versatility of this new kayak fishing product.
