What is needed is a kayak trailer that is designed for launching boats directly into the water and retrieving them again. The Yakima is the worst in that its wheel bearing are not waterproof. The Malone Micro Sport have the kayaks mounted to far above the ground for this purpose. Best are the jet ski trailers that kayak owners have modified to carry kayaks.
