Richard Baden, of Cocoa, Florida, walked away as the winner of the first regular-season event for the 2020 Florida East Division of the IFA Kayak Fishing Tour.
Richard took the top spot at the event, which took place at Titusville, Florida when he measured a combined limit of 47.38 inches. It wasn't easy for Baden as he had to travel 10 miles in total in order to fish paddle tails in the No-Moter Zone. Baden said that it was worth the effort as he found a good number of snook, reds, and trout. The IFA Kayak Tour anglers had their work cut out for them during the event as they had to contend with fierce winds, which obviously made it difficult to paddle.

The 23.50-inch redfish that Baden caught was the longest in the tournament and secured him the $100 Berkley Big Redfish Award. Baden also went home with a brand new Ascend 128T kayak along with $1,000 cash for his efforts.

Jeff Roberts, of Cocoa, Florida, came second place thanks to a 22-inch redfish and a 19.88-inch speckled sea trout. Roberts also had to make changes to his original plan due to the strong winds but went home with an Ascend 12T kayak and $100 cash.

Eric Henson, of Sarasota, Florida, measured a total of 39.00 inches to secure third place, which earned him $500. Despite the tough conditions caused by the wind and low water level, Henson fished the shoreline of Mosquito Lagoon with an artificial shrimp for his catches.

Here's a list of the top ten anglers for the IFA Kayak Tour - Florida East Division. Next up for the tour is Steinhatchee, Florida, on March 8.
