On November 13th, 2010, GKFF partnered with Ft. Benning's Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department to get some local vets and their families out paddling and fishing!  There was no better way to spend a Veteran's Day Saturday than helping our heroes enjoy a nice time with their families in the great outdoors!  Right out of the gate families couldn't wait to get in boats and paddle across King's Pond.

The next day we had the honor of working with Ft. Benning's Warrior Transition Battalion (WTB). WTB works with transition soldiers back to duty or service as a Veteran in their community.  This small group of soldiers who came out had a great time unwinding with their families, enjoying nature and  eating some good food!  It was a rewarding experience for our volunteers and we look forward to doing more with this very deserving group of heroes!

"At Georgia Kayak Fishing Foundation (GKFF) we genuinely feel privileged to
partner with Ft Benning's Warrior Transition Battalion (WTB) & the MWR
(Morale, Welfare, Recreation) in support of our soldiers. Kayaking & kayak
fishing with these soldiers is a deeply satisfying experience for all of us.
I couldn't be more emphatic an encouraging more kayak anglers to get
involved."
said Tony Narcisse, President of GKFF.

We here at YakAngler would like to thank those Men and Women who serve to protect our country.  We would also like to say thank you to our good friends down in GA for showing such a strong level of patriotism this past Veterans Day weekend.
