Round 1 in the only kayak fishing specific awards, the Kayak Angler’s Choice Awards, is in the books. The responses - more than 4,000 - have been counted and validated. The top 50% for each category have moved into Round 2.

There was a three-way tie for Angler of the Year, so fifty two kayak fishing folks have moved into the next round. There were ties in several categories, so in those cases more than 50% of nominees have progressed to Round 2.

View the nominees that have moved into the next round, and make sure to cast your vote in Round 2 by visit www.yakangler.com/choice. Round 2 is open until Sunday, October 2 at 8pm EST.

Round 2 results will be announced next Monday, and final results will be announced on October 16. At this point, it’s all up to you! Please review the categories and cast your votes in each round as we progress through the process.
