The Minnesota Kayak Fishing Association, a Twin Cities-based non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of the sport of kayak fishing, is partnering with the Three Rivers Park District to host a park clean up day at the Lake Rebecca Park Reserve in Minneapolis.

The MNKFA and Three Rivers will host a day of trash pick-up, removal of thin ice signs, and aiding the park maintenance staff with general duties. The partnership is looking for fifteen to twenty volunteers to assist in the day’s activities. Members of the MNKFA are being asked to bring their kayaks along to complete the removal of trash and signage from the water, while the rest of the volunteers will clean up around the shoreline and assist in various other activities.

Volunteers are asked to bring snacks and a smile while enjoying cleaning up a beautiful lake with a great group of people. Water and doughnuts will also be provided.

The event is planned for May 2, 2015 beginning at 8:30 am. Interested parties are asked to go to http://mnkayakfishingassociation.org/ for more details and to sign up for the event.
