What’s the best way to get the kayak fishing community fired up? Host a user’s choice awards on the best kayaks, magazines, products, and more in the kayak fishing world. That’s right - it’s time once again for the Kayak Anglers Choice Awards (KACA).

We started a little later this year; we wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to see what new products many companies will be releasing before the holiday season. We’ve decided to keep pretty much the same format as last year to keep companies with multiple cool products from having their votes diluted across their lines.

The KACA always draws a ton of criticism from people saying, “This person was left out,” or, ”This product should have been in the mix.” Well, this is your chance! The nomination phase starts today, so head over to our survey and nominate the people, places, and things you think were the best this year.

Remember, even if you know someone has nominated the kayak you think should be included, you should also nominate it. We receive so many nominations that we can’t possibly include all of them in the first round of voting, so we’ll only take the ones with the most mentions.

Make sure to share this with your local forums and social media. These awards only work if we get broad participation.

More information about the KACA can be found [Here].

Mark Watanabe

Mark "YakSushi" Watanabe is the Co. Founder of YakAngler.com, "He built this site!". He considers himself a mediocre fisherman and an unexceptional writer. He's the devoted father of a ton of little sushis (Air Quotes) and everyday tech ninja.
