First Annual Run for the River

The Friends of the Devils River is proud to announce the first annual "Run for the River" drawing for a once in a lifetime trip on the pristine Devils River. 

As a long time supporters of the efforts of the Texas Nature Conservancy, The Friends of the Devils River has dedicated their time and energies to help maintain the Devils River as it was 100+ years ago.   The Nature Conservancy of Texas;  Part of the worldwide organization the Nature Conservancy whose goal is to protect our planet in all areas vital to mankind; is committed to maintaining the river corridor including the Dolan Falls Preserve and the Devils River drainage from further development. 

The proceeds from this event will help "the Friends of the Devils River" commit to continued support of this cause earmarked for the Dolan Falls Preserve.

Together Sponsors, they will raffle off the opportunity for four individuals to participate in a "once in a lifetime" river adventure down a guided tour of the Devils River.  There will also be an opportunity for two additional individuals to bid on the remaining two spots via EBay Auction, for the river adventure.

Winners will enjoy a 3 days, 2 nights, VIP fishing adventure on the pristine, spring fed, Devils River guided by one of the finest Texas Pro Bass guides, Gerald Bailey.  The VIP trip scheduled for June 24th-27th, 2010, will include all equipment, gear, gourmet meals prepared by a 5 Star chef, with accommodations to include lodging at the Dolan Falls Preserve.  There will be additional prizes awarded to the winners as well, including one of a kind hand painted lures. 

The coveted trip - surrounded by beauty, nature, serenity and adventure alone, is well worth the opportunity then coupled with the chance to win some other great sportsman prizes provided by our sponsors will make this an opportunity you won't want to miss! The drawing will be held May 28th at an event in the Dallas area (location TBD).  Plan on joining us for an evening of food, drink and fun benefiting a great cause.
