Kayak Fishing Ultimate Resource

Product Review Policy

  • We usually only write positive things about products we actually like and use.
  • Yes, most of our reviews are mostly positive. Why? Because if we don’t like something, we don’t use it, and we won’t be able to give it a good review. Bad reviews aren’t all that fun to ready anyways.
  • If we were using something we didn’t like just for a review, then we’d be wasting our time. If something is really, really bad, we might tell you how bad it is, just so you don’t make a mistake.

FTC Disclosure

We think this might be everything. When it comes to any of the reviews on YakAngler, please assume that the product’s manufacturers, sales representatives, dealers and/or others with a financial interest in the product being reviewed may have done any, most, or all of the following:

  • Sent us products at no cost to review and then send back to them.
  • Sent us products at no cost to review and then keep.
  • Sent us products to keep even if we don’t review them.
  • Taken us fishing and then refused our offer for gas money.
  • Bought us beer.
  • Bought us other alcohol drinks, and/or non-alcohol drinks, and/or food.
  • Been friends with us.
  • Yelled at us for sinking one of their kayaks.
  • Featured us in their sales and marketing literature, and/or other publications, online and/or not.
  • Paid us off (send checks to YakAngler, LLC….)
  • Paid us outrageous referral fees for sending customers to them. (please?)
  • Provided cool prizes for our contests and/or give-aways.
  • Hosted us in their homes and/or awesome, skyline view, vacation condos.
  • Sent us a text or posted on Facebook on our birthdays.
  • Visit our website and talk to our members.
  • Provided non-professional medical treatment and/or advice.
  • Generally been nice to us, with the expectation that we’ll write good things about their products, or not.

Of course, like most folks, we also paid for a lot of the gear we review too. Thanks to Deneki Outdoors for allowing us to plagiarize some of this disclosure.
